BLUEBONNET GARDEN CLUB AWARDS JUNE YARD OF THE MONTH
The Bluebonnet Garden Club awarded the Yard of the Month for June to Mary Ann Schulte, 2203 Carondelet Court.

A pair of cast-iron urns with neatly trimmed boxwoods flank the steps leading to the brick lined front sidewalk. Perfectly placed oak trees enhance the front yard’s symmetrical design. The columned front porch includes brick lined flower beds containing boxwoods tucked neatly behind the wrought iron railing.
The well-maintained front flower beds are enhanced with pink and white periwinkles, asparagus fern, and dwarf holly bushes. Large, glazed pots on either side of the front porch contain spiraled cedar bushes with periwinkles and lantana at the base. The front corners of the home are anchored with Holly Trees.
A covered back porch overlooks the relaxing cobalt blue pottery water feature surrounded by miniature roses. The backyard’s spacious green space is bordered by a lovely back flower bed including a centered crepe myrtle tree surrounded by knock-out roses, dusty miller, lantana, and a border of vibrant yellow pansies. On either side of the back flower bed, the fully blooming lilac chaste trees will be enjoyed throughout the spring and into the summer.
The owner was presented a gift certificate to a local nursery.
