LOCAL POLICE ARREST KATY MAN ON FAMILY ASSAULT CHARGE

A Katy man was taken to the Washington County Jail after his arrest on an assault charge.
Friday evening, just before 5:30, police were dispatched to a disturbance at the WalMart in the 200 block of US highway 290 East.
At the scene, 39-year-old Evan Szarf of Katy was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
He is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
