BRENHAM DETECTIVE ASHLEY BURNS HONORED BY LOCAL AMERICAN LEGION

A Brenham Police detective has been honored by the local American Legion.
Detective Ashley Burns has been named the Brenham Police Department’s ‘Officer of the Year’ for 2021.
Burns has been with the local department for a total of eight years, five-and-a-half years on patrol and two-and-a-half in the Detective Division. She has also been on the Hostage Negotiation Task Force for six years.
The local department thanked Burns for her hard “hard work and dedication to the Brenham P.D.”
Burns will also be receiving the Chiefs Commendation award and recognition at the Brenham City Council meeting, July first.
