HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES OPENS SATURDAY WITH MUSIC FROM THE BEATLES, BRITISH INVASION

Downtown Brenham will travel back in time to the ‘60s and ‘70s tomorrow (Saturday) night for the first of four “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concerts this summer.
The Fab 5, playing hits from The Beatles and other groups from the British Invasion, will take the stage at 7 p.m. The group was voted best cover/tribute band by the Houston Press from 2011-2015.
Community Services Specialist Crystal Locke says the concert series is a great time for the whole family.
Each of this month’s concerts will take place every Saturday night on the courthouse square, and are free to the public.
Families are invited to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy food and drinks from local businesses and vendors. They can also see a variety of classic cars and hot rods during the Stray Katz Car Club’s cruise-in at the west end of Alamo Street.
Tomorrow night’s performance is sponsored by Tippit Dental Group, Dahmann and Associates representing Germania Insurance, Seidel Schroeder and Brenham National Bank.
