TOWN HALL MEETING TO DISCUSS CITY OF BRENHAM BUDGET WEDNESDAY

Brenham residents will have an opportunity tomorrow (Wednesday) to provide feedback on the City of Brenham budget.

The city will host a town hall meeting at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library from 6 to 8 p.m.

During the meeting, city officials will review the budget letter and proposed tax rate memo, discuss any proposed or upcoming projects and take questions from the public.

At previous budget workshops, city leaders discussed plans to increase water rates to help fund the water intake structure repair project at Lake Somerville.  An increase in electric and gas rates was also proposed, but the exact amount of the uptick in rates is still being determined.

Copies of the budget letter and tax rate memo will be available to the public.
