WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY MORNING

  

Approval of the 2021-22 tax rate is on tap for Tuesday morning when the Washington County Commissioners Court meets.

Commissioners are expected act on the approval of the 2021 property tax rate for the county.  The current rate is 49.5-cents per hundred dollars valuation.

The Commissioners Court will also host a public meeting to discuss a resolution approving and authorizing a preliminary statement and road improvement agreement for the Pecan Glen Road District.

The resolution would authorize the engagement of the financial advisor relating to the Pecan Glen Road District and other related matters.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting:

Approve the purchase of a Kubota utility vehicle for the Washington County Expo.

Review requests for underground placement of hand holes and fiber ducts on Mayer Cemetery Road and Jaeger Road for Industry Telephone Company in Precinct 4.

Approve the position description for assistant emergency management.

And hear monthly reports from the sheriff’s office, EMS, IT and the veterans service officer.

Washington County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Washington County Courthouse.
