Brenham Animal Services is once again taking part in a nationwide effort to find new homes for pets in need.

The annual “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption campaign, hosted in partnership with NBC and Telemundo stations, is underway through Sunday, September 19^th at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center. The shelter will offer adoption specials throughout the month-long event, like free adoptions this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Brenham Animal Services Manager Allison Harper says the adoption center currently has approximately 83 animals, and that “Clear the Shelters” will introduce many of those animals to new families.

All of the adoption center’s available pets can be seen online at www.petfinder.com. Harper suggests anyone who is interested in a specific animal should visit the shelter as soon as possible.
