WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT RELEASES NEW AVERAGE HOMESTEAD VALUES

  

The average market value of homes across Washington County increased between 6-12 percent this year, according to the Washington County Appraisal District.

After releasing the county’s certified property values earlier this month, Chief Appraiser Dyann White on Friday released the average homestead market value comparison between 2020 and 2021.

The average Washington County home increased in value from $202,580 last year to $216,351 this year, up 6.79 percent.

Homes in Brenham are up in value on average by 8.14 percent, from $178,008 last year to $192,510 this year.

The average home in Burton rose in value by 12.72 percent, increasing from $158,856 a year ago to the current average of $179,074.

Brenham ISD’s average homestead is up 6.87 percent, from $204,941 in 2020 to $219,034 in 2021.

An average home in Burton ISD now values at $200,211, up 6.45 percent from last year’s average value of $188,077.

Homes in the Blinn College District value on average at $216,351, compared to $202,000 a year ago, a 7.1 percent increase.

The average value of a homestead in the Oak Hill Fresh Water District increased by 5.97 percent, from $296,343 last year to $314,053 this year.
