SENIOR CITIZEN’S DAY THURSDAY AT WASHINGTON CO. FAIR, PLUS COMMERCIAL JUDGING & CHAMPION DRIVE

  

Activities are in full swing at the 153rd Washington County Fair, which continues today (Thursday) with more livestock judging, rodeo action and entertainment.

Today is Senior Citizen’s Day at the fair, featuring discounted ticket prices, a free meal, polka music and prize drawings for seniors.  The Senior Citizen’s Day luncheon will be held at 11 a.m.

Livestock judging resumes with the commercial heifer pen show at 8 a.m. and the scramble heifer show at 3 p.m.

The Champion Drive, which provides a fair experience for local students with special needs, will take place at 10 a.m.

Other fair attractions such as antique farm equipment displays, the children’s petting zoo, country creations and crafts and vendor booths remain open today.  The Heart of America Carnival will also be open from 6 to 11 p.m., with all-you-can-ride wristbands for $25.

The rodeo arena will host mutton bustin’ at 6:30 p.m. and the CPRA Rodeo and wild steer saddling at 7:30 p.m.

The night will round out with music from Jon Stork at 8 p.m. and Kody West at 10 p.m.
