‘TREATS ON THE STREETS’ THURSDAY IN NAVASOTA
Families can enjoy Halloween fun tomorrow (Thursday) night in Navasota during “Treats on the Streets”.
The Navasota Police Department hosts the event annually to provide children a safe alternative to trick-or-treating.
Starting at 6 p.m., local organizations will be handing out candy through a one-way access route that will begin at Holland and South LaSalle Streets, near Snowflake Donuts. The route will end in the parking lot of the City of Navasota Municipal Building, where a costume contest will be held at 7 p.m.
The costume contest will have several categories, including:
- Ages 0-3,
- Ages 4-kindergarten,
- First grade through third grade,
- Fourth grade through fifth grade.
Trophies will be awarded to participants placing first through third.
KTEX-106’s Trail Boss Troy will be in Navasota tomorrow night, broadcasting live from the KTEX Country Cruiser.
