HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES IN, AROUND WASHINGTON CO.

  

Cooler fall temperatures have arrived, just in time for all kinds of Halloween activities in and around Washington County.

Here are just a few of the events happening in the area this weekend:

FRIDAY:

• Silver Sage Assisted Living and Memory Care in Brenham is hosting a drive-thru trunk or treat with hot dogs from 5 to 7 p.m.
• The Boys and Girls Club of Bellville is holding a trunk or treat in the club’s parking lot from 7 to 9 p.m.
• The Burton Pumpkin Patch will be open from 4 to 7 p.m.

SATURDAY:

• Businesses in downtown Brenham will host Treats on Main Street from 3 to 6 p.m. Families can go trick or treating at several downtown businesses.
• The Burton Heritage Society will host its annual Trick or Treat Trail from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. around Burton, offering games and treats, a scavenger hunt and a costume contest.
• Brenham Church of Christ will hold its Fall Festival from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring games, food, trunk or treating and pumpkin chunkin'.
• The BS Arena at 6949 Old Mill Creek Road in Brenham is hosting a Rough Out Halloween Ranch Rodeo and Chili Cook-off. Turn-in time for the cook-off is 3 p.m., and awards will be presented at 4 p.m.  The open ranch rodeo begins at 7 p.m., and there will also be a costume contest.
• High Hope Care Center of Brenham will hold a Halloween Extravaganza from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be games, face painting, food, a haunted house and trunk or treating.
• West End Elementary will hold its Harvest Festival at Industry Fireman’s Hall from 3:30 to 8 p.m., featuring dinner, games, a costume contest, silent auction and a king and queen contest.
• The Burton Community Center will host a fall dance starting at 7 p.m.
• Harmonie Hall in Shelby will hold a Halloween Dance beginning at 8 p.m.
• Scare on the Square will be held in downtown Caldwell from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Downtown Sealy will hold Boo Bash on Main from 5 to 8 p.m. with entertainment, games, contests, a haunted house, face painting, and train rides.
• Christian City Fellowship at 5243 Highway 36 in Sealy will host its Family Fall Festival from 5 to 8 p.m., offering free candy, inflatables, food trucks and fireworks.
• The Burton Pumpkin Patch will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

SUNDAY:

• The City of Brenham and Boys and Girls Club of Washington County will host the Brenham Boo Bash in the club’s parking lot from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy trunk or treating, refreshments, face painting, music and carnival games.
• The Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Fright Night on the square in Independence from 5:30 to 8 p.m., offering games, candy and food.
• Chappell Hill Main Street businesses will be sponsoring the 1^st Annual Chappell Hill Halloween Treat Trail between 1 and 5 p.m.  Each store will be giving away candy to trick or treaters.
• The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department’s 4^th Annual Halloween Spooktacular Firehouse Fun will be held starting at 5 p.m. at the Carmine fire station and annex.  The event will feature games, crafts, cookie decorating, bounce houses, contests and indoor trick or treating.
• First Baptist Church of Chappell Hill will hold its Fall Festival from 6 to 8 p.m., where families can trunk or treat and play mini-games.
• The Brenham Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association will host a Halloween candy drive-thru from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Max Donuts parking lot.
• Philips Veterinary Hospital will host Chappell Hill Bible Fellowship's Trunk or Treat Fall Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  There will be a cake walk, hot dogs, a bouncy house, trunk or treat stations and door prizes.
• Immanuel Lutheran Church of Giddings will have a trunk or treat from 6 to 8 p.m., while Giddings Church of Christ will host a trunk or treat from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
• The Burton Pumpkin Patch will be open from 2 to 6 p.m.

Don’t forget that KWHI will be hosting its own on-the-air Halloween Party on Halloween night beginning at 7 p.m. on AM 1280 and FM 101.7.  Over 50 prizes will be given away by special spooky guest DJ’s, who will be calling area families throughout the evening.  Click here to read more about the Halloween Party.
