The celebration of the 39th Annual Small Town Christmas in Bellville gets underway tonight (Thursday) with the Little Mr. and Miss Small Town Christmas Pageant.

The pageant will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church Faith Center, and will reveal the 2021 Little Mr. and Miss Small Town Christmas.  The winners will be a part of the Small Town Christmas Parade on Friday, December 3rd.

The parade kicks off a weekend of holiday fun and activities in downtown Bellville.  The parade will be followed by the lighting of the courthouse tree and activities at the Mini-Park, including a real snow slide, an inflated activity area with a swing and obstacle course, a petting zoo, pony rides, and non-profit food and drink vendors at the Jim Bishop Pavilion.  There will also be a showing of the movie “The Star”, pictures with Santa in the Mini-Park gazebo, and a street dance with the Red Bulls.

On Saturday, December 4th, guests can look forward to Breakfast with Santa at Newman’s Bakery and do holiday shopping on the courthouse square and under the Jim Bishop Pavilion.  Dozens of vendors will be available, in addition to food trucks, performances and music.

A drive-thru living nativity will be set up at the St. John Lutheran Church Retreat Center on December 4th and 5th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
