LEE COUNTY SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Elgin man in connection with a weekend shooting incident.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1000 Block of Deerwood Drive just after midnight on Sunday for a report of a possible kidnapping and shooting.

They found the victim, 43 year old David Maxwell, inside his truck after being shot and killed.

Deputies also found a 27 year old female, whose name is being withheld pending a further investigation, had been assaulted and unlawfully restrained.

The suspect, 43 year old Timothy Bradshaw, was taken into custody on charges of Unlawful Restraint, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Bradshaw was taken to the Lee County Jail in Giddings, where bond was set at $125,200.

An investigation into the case is ongoing. More charges could be filed.

  1. Move to Houston if you come here to steal, sell drugs or kill. Need more judges that care about our citizens.

    1. A judge that sets a bond at this level for murder needs to undergo a very stringent mental evaluation.
