BRENHAM CUBETTE SOFTBALL HAS UP AND DOWN DAY AT BRENHAM TOURNAMENT

The Cubette softball team opened day 2 of the Brenham Tournament with an ugly loss to Dripping Springs 10-1. The game was just 3-1 going into the 7th inning, but Dripping Springs exploded for 7 runs in the inning. The lone run from Brenham came in the 3rd when Avery Maurer singled Annie Beckendorf in for the score. Della Jasinski took the loss in the circle.

In game 2, the Cubettes were able to turn things around and defeat Lexington 7-5. Presley Parker earned the win, while Della Jasinski picked up the save. Sarah Mabie had a solo HR, while Avery Maurer had 2 hits, an RBI, and scored twice.  Annie Beckendorf had a 2-run double.

The Cubettes finish the Brenham Tournament today with a double header.  They face Channelview at 3:00, then finish up against Morton Ranch at 5:00.
