COLLEGE STATION MAN ARRESTED AFTER PURSUIT IN BRENHAM
A College Station man was arrested by DPS Wednesday night after a brief pursuit in Brenham.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a trooper stopped a vehicle shortly after 9 p.m. on Highway 36, near North Dixie Street, for a traffic violation.
The vehicle, driven by 54-year-old Oscar Francisco Correa, pulled over and stopped, but sped away as the trooper approached.
The pursuit ended at FM 389, near Longwood Drive. A blood draw taken at the scene determined Correa was intoxicated.
Correa was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More. He remains in the Washington County Jail, with bond set at $70,000.
