U.I.L. STATE TRACK MEETS BEGIN THURSDAY AND RUN THRU SATURDAY

Several area schools will be taking part in the U.I.L. State Track Meet, which begins tomorrow (Thursday) in Austin.

The 3A and 4A events are starting on Thursday, while the 5A and 2A events are on Friday, and the meet finishes up on Saturday with the 6A and 1A events.

They will start each day with the Field Events and the 3200-meter run at 9am, followed by the other running events at 5pm.

In Class 3A, Caldwell High School has Jacob Beck, who is participating in the Boys 100 Meter Dash, and Daniel Cowan, who will take part in the Boys Triple Jump.

Tardanique London of Hempstead High School is going to be in the Girls 400 Meter Dash.

In Class 4A, the Bellville High School Boys 4x100 Meter Relay Team consisting of Tyler Fishbeck, Colton Kaase, Richard Reese, Richard Biggs, Dillion Lyons, and Jayden Scyrus will be competing.

Kaase will also take part in the Boys 300 Meter Hurdles, while Fishbeck is going to be in the Boys 200 Meter Dash.

Sealy High School his going to have their Boys 4x400 Meter Relay Team of D’Vonne Hmielewski, Tristan Coleman, Haden Wernecke, Connor Krenek, Xavier Olvera, and Emmanuel Aguilar competing at the State Meet.

Olvera is also taking part in the Boys 800 Meter Run.

Meanwhile, Sealy also has Breanna Brandes in the Pole Vault, and Taniah Coleman in the Girls Long Jump.

Jaren Wood will be representing La Grange High School in the Boys Discus.

Carlie Weiser of Giddings High School is taking part in both the Girls Discus and the Girls Shot Put.
