Two long-standing Brenham ISD employees have been promoted to serve as Coordinators of Student Services.

Domel said she is “excited about this new position and the direction the school district is going by extending the community involvement.”  She said she looks forward to continuing her efforts in her new roles, and welcomes the new challenges that this position will afford her.

Morgan said she has “a profound love for our community and all of our children.”  She said “embracing change is part of the growth process,” and that as a lifelong learner, she is “always looking for ways to grow.”

  1. It amazes me how you could make these comments from this article. I am conservative but some people have absolutely lost their mind.

Congratulations…you will both serve the community well as you have in the past. Hopefully, people will turn off the media long enough to get out and see the GOOD going on.

  2. Unbelievable the unlimited money for salaries at BISD. Not to mention these “titles” that go with them. What the heck is going on? Would love to hear a detailed definition of these positions because I have no idea what I’m paying for. Do you like me ever feel taken for granted that WE should just Obey and never say a word? Kinda like the Jr High just Shut
    Up and pay it.

    1. My dad was THE (as in solo) Director of Student Services for BISD until he retired in 2016. It took two people to replace him. To answer your question, this position is (was as if 2016) responsible for overseeing the bus system for the district and all that goes with it, the janitorial services and all that goes with it, as well as any discipline problems that couldn’t be handled at the campus level. They also are (were) in charge of taking care of purchase orders for the campuses, assigning and maintaining the district vehicles, and pretty much anything else that the supertindent/asst superintendent deemed their responsibility, which ranged across a variety of tasks

  3. I sure hope our “student services” does not include encouraging students to change their pronouns or gender or use whichever bathroom they want without telling their parents anything since that seems to be a trend in public schools sweeping the nation right now.

    1. Why are you so concerned with the gender of children? Maybe try getting a hobby?
