‘DAIRY DAY’ SATURDAY AT WASHINGTON CO. EXPO

  

The Washington County Expo is all set to host “Dairy Day” this Saturday.

Every year, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service holds the “Dairy Day” show to teach 4-H and FFA members and the community about dairy cattle.

Kara Matheney, Washington County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources, says the dairy show is one of three left in the state.  She says children statewide come to Washington County to participate.

 

The show will be held in Barn #3 at the Expo.  Check-in starts at 8 a.m., and the show begins at 9 a.m.

Judging awards will be presented for Old Timer Jackpot Showmanship, PeeWee Showmanship, Junior and Senior Champions, a Grand Champion and a Supreme Champion.
