BRENHAM’S KELLY JURDEN LEAVES A BIG LEGACY BEHIND AT TEXAS LUTHERAN

From being a Brenham Cubette, to moving on to Texas Lutheran University, Kelly Jurden made both programs better by being a part of them.

Kelly, the daughter of Dan and Ann Jurden of Brenham, finished her collegiate softball career this past season with the Bulldogs. The TLU Bulldogs are under the watchful eye of former Brenham Cubette Head Softball Coach Wade Wilson, and his assistant coach, and former Brenham Cubette Softball player, Olivia Van Hook.

Since she started playing at TLU in 2018 the team’s overall record was 179-24. Their conference; Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC); record was 84-1, winning the last 62 conference games in a row!

They won 4 regular season SCAC Championships and 4 SCAC Tournament Championships.

They won 3 NCAA Regional tournaments and 2 Super Regionals (there was no Super Regional in 2021). They finished in the final 4 this year and were runner up in 2021 in the National Championship Tournament. They won the National Championship in 2019.
