BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO POTENTIALLY NAME NEW HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
A new principal at Burton High School will be discussed by the Burton School Board on Monday.
Trustees will consider the employment of a new principal at the high school after Matthew Wamble accepted a new role this month as the principal of Taylor High School. Wamble had worked in Burton ISD since January 2019.
Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy said at the board’s meeting on June 13th that three candidates applied for the position. Interviews were held this week.
In other items, the board will vote on the 2022-23 teacher pay scale, changes to the supplemental salary schedule, and a substitute salary schedule.
Trustees will then go into executive session for discussion on personnel.
