WASHINGTON COUNTY SENDING TWO TEAMS TO THE SECTIONAL TOURNAMENTS

Washington County Little League will be sending two teams to the Section 1 Tournaments, which start up this Saturday.

The Washington County Minor (9-10 yr. olds) Boys won the District 13 Tournament this past Friday with an 11-1 victory over Bellville at Linda Anderson Park in Brenham.

Team members are Austin Smith, Ayden Cunningham, Blaine Carmeans, Bradley Nowicki, Callen Schulte, Haydon Huff, Hudson Frank, Jackson Burch, Lane Damron, Levi Duran, Tyler Hecker, Wes Warschak, and Will Hefferly.

The team is managed by Steven Smith. His assistant coaches are Andy Hefferly and Brandon Schulte.

Washington County will face Bastrop on Saturday at 7:30pm in Elgin (7:05pm pregame on KWHI 1280 AM, 101.7FM, and main feed at KWHI.com). Prior to that, Austin Northwest will face Lufkin at 5:30pm.

The Washington County 11 Year Old Boys Baseball Team won the District 13 Tournament on Monday, June 20, by beating Columbus 11-0 at Roberts Field in Burton.

Team members are Braeden Brewster, Briley Jasinski, Cooper Plagens, Corbin Schulens, Grant Asmussen, Hank Majewski, Josh Torrez, Kai Ongudu, Logan Grabarschick, Max Lambert, Nolan Collier, Taylor Brier, and Weston Collier.

The team is managed by Clayton Collier.  His assistant coaches are Eric Plagens and Dustin Majewski.

Washington County will face Lufkin on Saturday at 7:30pm at Austin Northwest (7:05pm pregame on KWHI.com Sports Alternate feed). Prior to that, Austin Northwest will take on College Station at 5:30pm.
