The Doo Wop Project will take the stage next Saturday, October 15th at 7 p.m.  The group covers some of the greatest music in American Pop and Rock history all the way to today’s biggest radio hits – including DooWopified versions of tunes from Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Maroon 5.

The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass says The Doo Wop Project “delivers these songs with unparalleled excellence, vocally and visually.”  She says concertgoers can expect “tight vocal harmonies backed by a stellar band, with theatrical costumes and choreography.”

The Doo Wop Project show begins with early rock ‘n roll hits from the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos.  After that comes the R&B/Motown era with songs by Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and The Four Seasons. Songs by Frankie Valli, The Drifters and Del Vikings are also included.

The group is made up of stars from the Broadway hits Jersey Boys, A Bronx Tale, Motown: The Musical and many other theatrical shows.  They formed The Doo Wop Project simply because they love this style of music.
