BURTON PANTHERS STAY UNBEATEN WITH A 54-12 VICTORY OVER SNOOK

The Burton Panthers continued their dominance of the district competition with a 54-12 victory over the Snook Blue Jays last (Friday).
Burton got on the board first with a 55 yard touchdown run by Delvin Gantt with 11:50 left in the first quarter. D'Mitry Schulte kicked the extra point to make it 7-0 Panthers.
Snook cut into the lead with a 70 yard touchdown pass from J.beaux Hruska to Sam Smitherman. Burton blocked the extra point to make the score 7-6 Panthers with 11:29 left in the first.
Tanner Gore followed by returning the kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown. The extra point by Schulte made it 14-6 Burton with 11:16 in the first quarter.
The Panthers wrapped up the first quarter with a 20 yard run by Tyrone Gilmon and a 52 yard run by Pierson Spies to make it 28-6 Panthers at the end of the first quarter.
Colby Beck got the scoring started in the second quarter with a 67 yard touchdown pass to Chad Schubert. Schulte missed the extra point to make it 34-6 Panthers at the 9:48 mark.
Beck then had a 47 yard touchdown run and Spies added his second touchdown, a four yard run to put Burton up 47-6.
Snook's Garrett Hyvl returned the kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown to cut the lead to 47-12 at the half.
The Panthers got one more touchdown in the third on a 9 yard touchdown run by Chad Schubert to finish it off at 54-12.
The Panthers are now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district. They will play Runge next Friday at 7pm at Snook.
