BURTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVES FINANCIAL ITEMS

  

The Burton City Council passed a series of items related to finances and banking at its meeting Tuesday.

Councilmembers approved a debit card application for the utility fund and the addition of the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CLFRF) to online banking with Citizens State Bank.

The council then agreed to transfer the remaining balance in the pavement fund to the general fund as partial payment of the recently completed road repairs and to close the pavement fund account.

In other items during session, the council approved the installation of a retail ice machine at White Horse Tavern at 400 North Main Street.  It also held a public hearing for the 2023-24 Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) Program.
