The Brenham Cub Basketball Team picked up a 54-39 win over the Navasota Rattlers last (Tuesday) Night at the Brenham High School Gym.

The Cubs jumped out to a 19-13 lead in the first quarter. However, the Rattlers outscored Brenham 13-7 in the second quarter to go into the locker room at halftime tied 26-26.

In the second half, it was all Cubs as they outscored Navasota 18-9 in the third quarter and 10-4 in the fourth quarter to win the game.

Shaun Ray led the way with 17 points, while Josiah Ferguson added 15 points, and Kobe Mathis chipped in with nine points.

Josiah Ferguson finished with 15 points.

With the win, Brenham improves to 9-5 on the season.

Next up, the Cubs will open district play on Friday night at Bryan Rudder. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm.
