BRENHAM CUBS HOSTED FOOTBALL BANQUET

Hundreds gathered last night at the Fireman’s Training Center for the Brenham Cub Football Banquet.

The Cub players were recognized for their accomplishments this past season.

They also handed out the Team Awards, which were awards given to players that were voted on by their teammates.

Rylan Wooten was chosen as the overall Most Valuable Player.

Offensive MVP went to Reid Robinson.

Meanwhile, Ricky Brown and Cade Moore were chosen by the players as Co-Defensive MVPs.

Special Teams MVP went to Grant Mayfield. Eric Aschenbeck and Logan Marshall were chosen as Co-Most Valuable Offensive Linemen.

They also handed out the “For the Brand” Award, which goes to the player that best represents the Brenham Cub Football brand.  That went to John Rigsby.

The Brenham Cubs finished the 2022 Season with an 8-5 Record. They were runner-ups in the District and made it to the Region Semifinals (four rounds deep) in the playoffs.

  1. Congrats Brenham on a great season. As a PNG fan your team was a great team and one of the toughest we played this season. Your team was one of the very best displays of sportsmanship I have ever seen. Your fans were equally welcoming and offered so much positive discussion and support. I thank you Brenham for teaching High School football how to lead by example. Sportsmanship is a forgotten art in the modern landscape. Thank you Brenham for your leadership in all areas. You are a great example of how High School football should be.
