CUBETTE SOFTBALL HONORS 2005 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM AT FUNDRAISER

The Brenham Cubettes Softball Team held their 5th Annual Ribeye Dinner and Auction this past Saturday night at the Washington County Expo Center.
Hundreds gathered for the team’s annual fundraiser. 35 corporate tables were sold for the event, and 95 businesses and individuals donated to the event.
They also auctioned off many great items including an autographed Earl Campbell Houston Oilers jersey, firearms, pies, Astros tickets, a crawfish boil, and even a black lab.
The 2005 Brenham Cubette Softball State Championship Team was honored with many former players gathering together for the team reunion. Current Head Cubette Softball Coach Katie Roberts and current Cubette Head Volleyball Coach Megan Whalen were both members of the team.

Former Brenham Cubette Head Softball Coach Wade Wilson, who is now the Head Softball Coach at Texas Lutheran University, was the featured speaker for the evening.
KWHI Sports Director Doug Brown had the honor of introducing the Brenham Cubette Softball Team for the upcoming 2023 season to those in attendance.
The Brenham Cubettes open the season on Tuesday, February 14, at the Caldwell Lady Hornets.
