BRENHAM PREGNANCY CENTER REMINDS COMMUNITY OF AVAILABLE SERVICES

A local pregnancy center is reminding the public of the services it provides, in light of Sunday’s incident where a human fetus was found at Hohlt Park.

Brenham Pregnancy Center says it provides free and confidential services such as pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, counseling, parenting education, pregnancy loss support, post-abortion support, material assistance and referral services.

Brenham police say at least two people, who were believed to be teenagers, were seen coming out of the woods by witnesses.

The 501(c)(3) organization wishes to extend support to those people seen leaving the park.  It invites anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy to reach out for confidential and nonjudgmental support to consider all of the options available.

Brenham Pregnancy Center Executive Director Melissa Lasater said, “This situation is heartbreaking on every level. It is unfortunately, directly related to the systemic breakdown of the family which is now multi-generational. It’s easy to vilify people, especially in moments like this, but a Christ-like response is what’s needed.”

The Brenham Pregnancy Center is located at 1016 East Blue Bell Road.  To learn more, visit www.brenhampregnancycenter.org
