FORTNIGHTLY CLUB SETS NEW RECORD AT USED BOOK SALE

The Fortnightly Club of Brenham’s annual Used Book Sale this year was record-breaking.

February’s sale grossed over $35,000 for the first time in the event’s long-running history.  The week-long event at the Washington County Expo featured thousands of books, puzzles, games, movies, music and records for sale, all benefitting the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library.

Fortnightly Club President Susan Myers is thankful for all of the help provided by the club’s volunteers in organizing the event, and for the public in continuing to support them.

Myers says the club and the library allow people to have experiences with books that they might not normally get.

For anyone looking to contribute or get involved, the Fortnightly Club meets once a month and has a 24-hour donation drop-off at its book house at 906 North Park Street in Brenham.
