NAVASOTA MAN ARRESTED FOR THEFT
(Grimes Co. Jail)
A Navasota man faces multiple charges including theft after his arrest on Tuesday.
Just before 11:45 a.m., Navasota police were dispatched to the 300 block of North LaSalle Street for a report of theft. Officers located a subject matching the description in the 400 block of North LaSalle Street.
The subject, 50-year-old Michael Powell, was found to be in possession of the stolen items. Police say he also had an outstanding parole warrant from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and was in possession of a pipe used for narcotics.
Powell was transported to the Grimes County Jail and charged with Theft with Two or More Prior Convictions, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the TDCJ parole warrant.
