WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday for the proposed 2023-24 Fiscal Year budget.

The budget is listed at $1,632,220, up $109,220 from the prior year.  Chief Appraiser Dyann White said the budget is higher due to an added appraisal clerk position, accounting for potential raises, and adding contracts for sales reports and digital library for permanent records.

Following the public hearing, board members will vote on adopting the budget.  They will then go through monthly reports.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office at 1301 Niebuhr Street.
