WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO HOLD REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY, WORKSHOP ON BISD POLICE DEPARTMENT WEDNESDAY
Washington County Commissioners will gather twice next week.
First will be the court’s regular meeting on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse, which will include reports from the sheriff’s office and other county offices, consideration of an oil and gas lease with Red Pheasant LLC, and potential approval of a merit increase in annual pay for E911 operations manager Shannon Selden.
Other items on Tuesday are:
- Approval of proclamations declaring April 2023 as Autism Awareness Month in Washington County and April 30 – May 7, 2023 as Soil & Water Stewardship Week.
- Consideration of an amendment to the bid with WEX BANK for fleet fuel for a maximum of 30 days. The extension is through May 31st.
- Action on a subdivision variance request for a land division fronting Highway 290 and Red Tip Lane in Precinct 3.
- Consideration of a final plat for the Saddle Ridge subdivision, a residential development of four tracts fronting Old Masonic Road in Precinct 3.
Commissioners will then meet on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Expo Event Center for a joint workshop with the Brenham City Council. The meeting is for discussion with Brenham ISD officials related to the school district's formation of a police department and associated items.
