COLETTE NAMED PET OF THE WEEK; CLEAR THE SHELTERS SATURDAY AT BRENHAM PET ADOPTION CENTER

  

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named Colette as its Pet of the Week.

Colette is a 6-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat.  Brenham Animal Services says she is kind, sweet and gentle.  She loves food and is described as a chunky girl.

Colette does have feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), but can still live a long, happy life indoors with other calm cats.  She enjoys pets and rubbing up on legs, and she is litterbox-trained.

Brenham Animal Services is getting ready for this Saturday’s Clear the Shelters event at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Adoption fees will be waived, and there will be community vendors and family activities to enjoy.

Some of the organizations that will be on hand will include the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, Blue Bell Aquatic Center, Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library and PetSmart.  KTEX-106’s Cowboy Dave will be broadcasting live from the friendly country cruiser.  Additionally, guests can look forward to a bounce house, touch-a-truck, a gift basket drawing and free ice cream.
