BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO CANVASS ELECTION RETURNS TUESDAY
The Brenham City Council will formally canvass the returns from today's (Saturday) election and declare the results at a special meeting on Tuesday.
Three council races were up for election this year for a four-year term, but only the mayoral race was contested. Atwood Kenjura faces Keith Hofmann for the seat held by Milton Tate, who is not seeking another term in office.
The incumbent Ward 2 and Ward 4 councilmembers, Albert Wright and Adonna Saunders, were unopposed.
The council will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Brenham City Hall.
