FAYETTE COUNTY DEPUTY MAKES PAIR OF ARRESTS OVERNIGHT

  

Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Moore made a pair of arrests while working the night shift.

According to Sheriff Keith Korenek, Deputy Moore was dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance last (Wednesday) night at 9:15pm. 

After conducting an investigation at the scene, 23-year-old Lorena Salinas was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Then, this (Thursday) morning at 1:15am, Moore made a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling on US Highway 77 near the Colorado River.

A search of the vehicle uncovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, ecstasy, Xanax pills, and synthetic urine used to falsify drug tests. 

The driver, 28-year-old Jalen Almeida, of La Grange was taken into custody and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
