DEBORA PINTO DEPARTING AS BRENHAM’S AIRPORT MANAGER

The City of Brenham’s airport manager is taking a new position elsewhere.

Debora Pinto

Debora Pinto wrote to city officials and stakeholders in an email on Wednesday that she will be leaving as airport manager effective tomorrow (Friday).

According to City of Brenham Development Services Director Stephanie Doland, Pinto has accepted a position in the private sector.

Pinto joined the city in April 2022, becoming Brenham’s first airport manager.  She previously held that title for the City of Edinburg, beginning in July 2006.

While Pinto could not be reached by KWHI for direct comment, she wrote in her email that she has “genuinely appreciated” collaborating with the city and is “very grateful for the experience and all the help.”

Doland said Pinto “has been an outstanding first airport manager for the City of Brenham” and that the city wishes her the best in her next endeavors.

Doland told KWHI she will be the airport’s point of contact in the interim as the city searches for a new leader of airport operations.  Candidates who are interested in the position can contact the city’s human resources department.

  1. Tax savings. It’s a very small airport. It doesn’t justify having an airport manager making 70k of taxpayers money each year continuously costing taxpayers more year after year.

  2. Wow barely over a year working there and now going somewhere else. Looks funny to me
