BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO MEET MONDAY

  

One item awaits consideration by the Brenham Board of Adjustment when it meets Monday.

A public hearing will be held before potential action on a request from Jack and Teresa Robinson to allow a 3-foot, 11-inch south side yard setback, where the minimum is normally 5 feet, at a home at 1400 South Jackson Street.

The change is so the property owners can build a 400-square-foot detached carport directly in front and in line with the existing garage, which was built in 1982 when the required side-yard setback was 3 feet for detached accessory structures.

City staff recommends approval of the variance request.

The board will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
