NO INJURIES AFTER DPS PATROL UNIT LOSES CONTROL, HITS BOX TRUCK IN BURLESON CO.

  

DPS is investigating a crash Thursday afternoon involving a trooper and a box truck in Burleson County.

The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of FM 50 and FM 60.

According to DPS, a trooper was traveling westbound on FM 60 with their emergency lights on as they were attempting to stop a vehicle.  As the trooper’s patrol SUV turned northbound onto FM 50, the vehicle lost control due to gravel in the roadway.  It then struck an International box truck that was stopped facing southbound on FM 50. 

No injuries were reported.

DPS says its investigation is ongoing and no further information can be released at this time.
