The Round Top-Carmine Cubettes fought hard, but just couldn't quite pull it out against the Mumford Lady Mustangs on Friday night.

Mumford won the first two sets 25-21 and 25-17. RT-C came back to win the next two sets 25-23 and 25-21. However, Mumford came back and won the final set 15-10.

Mallory Krause and Jill Eilers both just missed triple-doubles. Krause had 12 kills, 8 digs, and 19 assists. Meanwhile, Eilers finished with 7 kills, 11 digs, and 22 assists.

Tess Eilers had 10 kills and 14 digs. Kaysie Ward finished with 7 kills and 7 blocks. Maggie Salinas added 20 digs.

The loss dropped the Cubettes to 16-7 on the season. Next up, RT-C will host the Burton Lady Panthers tomorrow (Tuesday) night. The JV begins things at 5pm, followed by the Varsity afterwards.
