BELLVILLE POLICE APPREHEND FIVE AFTER BURGLARY DOWNTOWN

  

Five people, including two juveniles, were apprehended Friday afternoon after a burglary in downtown Bellville.

The Bellville Police Department says the incident happened around dusk at the smoke shop next to the Budget Inn in the 100 block of East Main Street.

Three adults and two juveniles were stopped by police and the Austin County Sheriff’s Office shortly after the act occurred.

Police say there were no firearms involved, and no one was injured.

The adults were booked into the Austin County Jail.  The juveniles were taken to the Austin County Juvenile Probation Office.

Police have not identified the suspects or listed any charges.
