ERCOT ASKING FOR VOLUNTARY ENERGY CONSERVATION MONDAY MORNING
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has issued an appeal for voluntary energy conservation between 6 and 10 a.m. Monday.
ERCOT says the statewide effort is to help alleviate potential strain on the electric grid during the morning timeframe, due to "freezing temperatures, very high demand and unseasonably low wind."
Residents and businesses are encouraged to participate in energy-saving measures if it is safe to do so.
