WARMING CENTER OPEN AT WASHINGTON CO. EXPO SALES FACILITY

  

Faith Mission and the Washington County Office of Emergency Management have opened a warming center for those in need during the severe winter weather.

The 24-hour warming center is located at the Washington County Expo Sales Facility in Brenham.  For those coming in on Old Independence Road off of Blue Bell Road, it can be found past the sheriff’s office on the left.

Warm meals will be provided along with coffee.  Guests are asked to bring a chair cushion if they have one, as well as anything to help pass the time like dominos, cards or a book.

Faith Mission Executive Director Reverend Randy Wells says Faith Mission and Washington County have worked in harmony since 2005 to “provide a safe and secure shelter for the homeless in our community during these incidents.”
