CUBETTES FALL TO LAKE CREEK 7-2

The Lake Creek Lady Lions defeated the Brenham Cubettes 7-2 on Wednesday in District 21-5A action.

Heidi Busker took the loss in the circle. She lasted 1 2/3 innings, giving up four hits, three runs, two walks, and a hit batter while getting one strikeout.

Kylie Baker went the remaining 4 1/3 innings allowing five hits, four runs, only three were earned, and one walk, while striking out four.

Brenham's two runs came in the top of the fourth inning. Sarah Mabie singled, and then Avery Maurer followed with a two-run homer.

The Cubettes return home to face Montgomery tomorrow (Friday) night at 6:30pm at Alumni Field. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:05pm.
