CRASH, ILLEGAL BURN AMONG THREE CALLS THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Thursday.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., the department was called out for a crash in the 2400 block of South Day Street.  There, firefighters found a two-vehicle accident.  They checked for fluids leaking, but no fluid mitigation was needed.  The department then cleared the scene.

Just past 12:45 p.m., units responded to a report of illegal burning in the 1400 block of Old Mill Creek Road.  They found a small fire upon making location.  Firefighters advised the resident of the City of Brenham’s code before returning to service.

Around 6:45 p.m., BFD members went to Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street, for a fire alarm.  They arrived to find a pull station had been activated.  Units helped reset the pull station and the alarm system.
