The furniture store at 213 West Alamo Street is holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. for “John’s Corner”, a new men’s department that was named and created to remember John Hermann by his daughter, Jennifer.

The new store section will offer men’s clothing, bourbon-inspired foods, bar ware, gifts and accessories.

Refreshments will be served at the event.

John Hermann passed away in July 2021 after having owned Hermann Furniture for several decades.  He was also a strong advocate for downtown Brenham and supported many community events and organizations.

The City of Brenham honored Hermann by naming May 15th as “John Hermann Day”.

KWHI’s Craig Montana and KTEX-106’s Eilish will be at the grand opening and ribbon cutting, broadcasting live and offering spins of the Wagon Wheel of Prizes.
