NAVASOTA SOUNDS OF SUMMER SERIES OPENS FRIDAY

The City of Navasota will kick off its annual Sounds of Summer concert series tomorrow (Friday) night.

The first of three free performances this summer will feature the Texas Eagles Tribute Band, paying homage to the legendary Eagles rock band.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. on the grounds of Navasota City Hall.  Food and drink vendors will be on site, and there will be kids’ activities like an inflatable water slide.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and coolers.

Starting at 3 p.m. tomorrow, East McAlpine Street will be closed from La Salle Street to Farquhar Street.  A portion of Farquhar Street will also be closed.  The roads will reopen at approximately 10 p.m.

The next concerts will be Mango Punch! on Friday, July 19th and the Brown Sugar Band on Friday, August 9th.

KTEX-106 is a sponsor of the Sounds of Summer concert series.
