WANTED FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN AUSTIN COUNTY

A wanted fugitive was arrested earlier this (Friday) morning after authorities tracked him to Austin County.

31-year-old Clarence Cloud was wanted for an active felony arrest warrant out of Harris County for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force located Cloud at a residence in the 1400 Block of FM 109 in New Ulm.

The Austin County Regional Special Response Team along with the Austin County Sheriff’s Office’s new K-9 Officer Knox assisted with the operation to arrest Cloud.

Marked patrol units from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado County Sheriff assisted with operation.

Cloud was arrested and transported to the Austin County Jail in Bellville, where he was booked in without incident.
