‘HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES’ TO FEATURE OLD SCHOOL SOUNDS OF BROWN SUGAR BAND
“Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” will bring the soul to downtown Brenham tomorrow (Saturday) night.
The Brown Sugar Band will perform starting at 7 p.m. at the corner of Alamo and Baylor Streets, bringing a blend of Motown, R&B, old school rock ‘n roll and contemporary hits.
Brenham Main Street Manager Leigh Linden says the group is very highly requested at “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes”, and that is because they know how to give everyone a good time.
Concertgoers can get their fill of food and drinks from local businesses and food trucks, and they can also see all kinds of vehicles on display at the west end of Alamo Street during the Stray Katz Car Club’s cruise-in.
The theme for this week’s performance is Disco Night, so bell bottoms and platform shoes are encouraged.
The concert is sponsored by Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Citizens State Bank, Woodson Lumber and Upchurch Yates Law Firm.
KTEX-106’s Ryan Stone will introduce the Brown Sugar Band on stage.
The concert series will wrap up next Saturday, July 27th with The Spicolis.
