FATAL FIRE IN GRIMES CO. UNDER INVESTIGATION

  

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatality caused by fire in Plantersville.

The sheriff’s office on Friday reported that around 7 p.m., dispatchers received a 911 call from the victim who said her RV was on fire off of Mossy Knoll Drive.

According to the sheriff’s office, a Good Samaritan attempted to make entry prior to first responders arriving, but the RV was fully engulfed.

The victim was later found deceased in the RV.

An abandoned structure near the RV was partially damaged by the fire.

Grimes County investigators have requested assistance from the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office. 

No further information was released.
