WATER RESTORED FOR CITY OF SOMERVILLE AFTER MAIN BREAK

Update @ 8:20 a.m.: Residents and Somerville ISD are now reporting that water has been restored.  The school district says it has bottled water on hand for student and staff use until the boil water notice is lifted later today.

Original Story @ 7:30 a.m.: Water is out for the City of Somerville after a main break early this (Wednesday) morning.

A City of Somerville employee told KWHI that water has been out since midnight, and that the latest update they had as of 5 a.m. said it would still be a few more hours before restoration.

Somerville ISD posted on social media that it expects a boil water notice will be in effect for most of the day.

The district will still serve breakfast and lunch, but some menu items may need to be adjusted.  Bottles of water will be provided to students and staff throughout the day, or until the boil water notice is lifted.

Classes will still begin as scheduled, and bus routes are running at their regular times.
